Patagonia
The far south of the Andes, where Chile and Argentina share a range of granite, ice and wind. The sequence begins in Torres del Paine: the dark-capped Cuernos above turquoise lakes, firebush in flower, guanacos on the ridges, a puma in the grass, and blue icebergs from Grey Glacier stranded on the shore of Lago Grey.
It then crosses into Argentina for the Perito Moreno Glacier, seen over the forest, from the water’s edge and side-on along its broken front, and ends among the mountains of Tierra del Fuego, where small glaciers hang above the valleys behind Ushuaia.
